Rav Yisroel Yochanon Asia, a prominent maggid shiur, talmid chochom from Brooklyn, spent Shabbos Parshas Vayishlach with Bais Medrash Tiferes Yaakov Chaim of Stolin-Karlin, Lakewood. Rav Asia came to participate in and address the special Adopt-a-Kollel renewal Shabbos, celebrating two years of the shul’s partnership with Kollel Lekach Tov led by Rav Asher Anshel Eichenstein. Rav Asher Anshel Eichenstein is a son-in-law of the Stoliner Rebbe and a son of the Trisker Rebbe.
Rav Asia gave a compelling drasha on Shabbos.
On Motzoei Shabbos, the shul held a follow up melave malka at the home of Rabbi Chaim Yaakov Hess. The guest speaker at the event was Rabbi Yosef Housman, chief editor of the Bais Medrash Govoha, Shivti Series. At the melava malka a video made especially for the occasion was shown. The video afforded the members of the shul a chance to see some of the great talmidei chachomim, many of whom are authors of seforim, who comprise the kollel.
