Rabbi Yankel Bernfeld and Rabbi Motti Weinberger spent Shabbos Parshas Terumah in Chicago. They participated in two renewal events but also held numerous meetings with other Adopt-a-Kollel partner kehillos and corporate partners that helped strengthen the bond between kehillah and kollel and gave kehillos ideas on how to maximize their support for their partner Kollelim. Rabbi Such Ehrman, Chicago’s Midwest coordinator in making Chicago one of Adopt-a-Kollel’s most successful cities.
One of the meetings was held at Congregation Adas Yeshurun. The Rav, Rav Zev Cohen attended the meeting and his input as well as that of the Adopt-a-Kollel Gabboim was invaluable.
Another meeting was held at Congregation M’kor Chaim led by Rav Yaakov Robinson. The shul pledged to increase their support in a significant way that would allow the Kollel to increase enrollment.
