On Shabbos Parshas Terumah, Congregation Adas Bnei Yisroel of Chicago celebrated the completion of its fifth years of partnership with Kollel Efel Bas Tzion. A special shalosh seudos was sponsored to celebrate the partnership that was addressed by Adopt-A-Kollel director, Rabbi Yaakov Bernfeld who was the special guest of the kehillah. Rav Binyomin Ahron Neuman, the Rav of the kehillah, spoke very passionately about the partnership on Shabbos morning and its importance to the kehillah. At the shalosh seudos, the shul also announced that three new gabbaim, Reb Heshie Basch, Reb Yosef Olstein and Reb Moshe Rajchenbach, would be joining Reb Beirish Teichman as the shul’s Adopt-A-Kollel gabbaim.
Rabbi Suchi Ehrman, Adopt-a-Kollel’s Midwest Coordinator, who has tirelessly worked to facilitate Midwest partnerships said, “It makes such a difference when the Rav and lay leadership are so enthusiastic about the partnership. Baruch Hashem, Adas Bnei Yisroel has proven to be such a shul.”
