On Chamisha Assar B’Shvat, a special seudah marking the launch of a new Adopt-a-Kollel Corporate Partnership was launched. The company MerchPay a, financial services company headed by Reb Ezzy Mendlowitz and Reb Shmilu Neuman has adopted Kollel Nefesh Yosef of Yerushalayim.
The owners and employees of the company were joined by Reb Abish Brodt, Rabbi Yankel Bernfeld, Rabbi Chaim Heller, Rabbi Chaim Zidele and Rabbi Ezra Dweck. The partners were deeply honored that the Rav of their Shul, Rav Avrohom Yosef Sekula, Rav of K’hal Nachalas Yaakov, Sobolov, joined them for the seudah and graced the event with words of Bracha. Rav Sekula played an instrumental role in the new partnership because the seeds for the new corporate partnership were planted in his shul, were Reb Ezzy and Reb Shmilu serve as Adopt-a-Kollel Gabbaim. They now took their affiliation with Adopt-a-Kollel to the next level by having their business adopt its own Kollel.
At the event, Rav Sekula said a beautiful dvar Torah connecting the event with Tu B’Shvat. Rabbi Chaim Heller and Rabbi Yaakov Bernfeld also spoke.
