Last week, a large group of members of Bais Medrash Makarov of Marine Park, Brooklyn, visited their Adopt-a-Kollel partner Kollel, Kollel Bederech Ha’Olah of Yerushalayim.
The shul led by its dynamic Rav, Rav Zvi Twerski, embarked on a chizuk trip to Eretz Yisrael and one of their prime destinations was their Kollel, a Kiruv Kollel in Eretz Yisrael. As a token of Hakoras Hatov for all that the shul does for their Kollel, Adopt-a-Kollel coordinator for Eretz Yisrael, Rabbi Motti Weinbeger, arranged for the members of the shul led by the Rav to visit a number of gedolim, among them, Rav Chaim Kanievsky, Rav Dov Landau, Rosh Yeshiva of Slabodka, and Rav Shimon Galei.
According to Adopt-a-Kollel coordinator, Rabbi Chaim Heller, members of the Kollel were so moved by their visit to the kollel that declared their intent to spend time learning in the Kollel in a Yarchei Kallah on their next visit.
