Adopt-a-Kollel is constantly trying to find innovative ways of pairing Kollelim with fitting kehillos. One of the original ways that this is done is by setting up “Zoom” meetings, similar to skype meetings between Roshei Kollel in Eretz Yisrael and Adopt-a-Kollel coordinators in America. The Rosh Kollel comes to Adopt-a-Kollel’s offices in Eretz Yisrael and together with Eretz Yisrael coordinator, Rabbi Motti Weinberger, they converse across the Ocean with coordinators in America that are familiar with the landscape of potential shuls.
About two months ago, the Rosh Kollel of Kollel Divrei Yatziv held one of these meetings and among other things he informed the coordinators that he had a personal relationship with a number of members of K’hal Ohr Yechezkel of Lakewood.
The office in America worked together with the Kollel and Shul members and after a number of weeks of diplomacy, a meeting was set up this week with the gabbayim and we are about to launch this new partnership between Ohr Yechezkel and Divrei Yatziv.
