K’hal Ateres Yeshaya of Lakewood led by Rav Simcha Bunim Cohen has been a partner for the past 5 years with Kollel Toras Avrohom led by the great tzaddik Rav Yitzchok Grodzinsky. Rav Yitzchok who was born and raised in Slabodka and survived the Holocaust in the Slabodka ghetto continues to lead the Kollel with great Mesiras Nefesh.
On Motzoei Shabbos Parshas Vayechi/December 22, the members of the Kehilla came together for Melave Malka in honor of the beginning of the 6th year of partnership. The Melava Malka was hosted by Reb Akiva Gonter and Reb Moshe Furer.
The special guest speaker at the event was Rav Yisroel Braverman, a grandson of Rav Chaim Kanievsky. Rav Yisroel gave the assemblage a first-hand report from the Kollel and also told over many fascinating and inspiring stories about his grandfather, Rav Chaim. The event concluded with a beautiful Kumzits featuring a live band.
