An inspiring, fascinating visit to the Skverer Rebbe was held by representatives of the Skverer Kollel of Beit Shemesh, and Adopt-a-Kollel leadership, Rabbi Yaakov Bernfeld, Rav Shulem Rokeach, Rabbi Yaakov Hain, and Rabbi Shmuel Weiss. They came to the Rebbe to consummate the Adopt-a-Kollel partnership between the Skverer Bais Medrash of Boro Park and the kollel in Beit Shemesh. The Rebbe said, “I derive so much pleasure from this. It is important to support such a distinguished kollel where such choshuve yungeleit sit and learn. This gives me such simcha!”
The Rebbe then gave a very substantial sum, indicating that he would also like to be part of Adopt-a-Kollel’s partnerships. He gave his bracha that the partnership should be a very successful one for both partners.
On Sunday morning, 4 Kislev/November 11, a beautiful, sign-up breakfast was held after davening in the shul where the kehillah signed up as partners.
The dayan of the kehillah, Rav Yechiel Michel Steinmetz was deeply satisfied with the partnership saying, “I know the yungeleit in the kollel. They are mamesh elevated talmidei chachomim and ovdei Hashem. What a zechus it is to support them!”
