Renewal event was held at Kollel Yechiel Yehuda, the Los Angeles Chassidishe kollel
On Thursday night, 28 Av/August 9, a beautiful renewal event was held at Kollel Yechiel Yehuda, the Los Angeles Chassidishe kollel. The kollel renewed its partnership with Kollel Chazon Yechezkel. The guest speaker at the event was Rav Yaakov Shapiro, a great talmid chochom and oved Hashem from Eretz Yisroel who has been in Los Angeles for medical treatment for the past year. Rav Shapiro, who lives in the same area in Eretz Yisrael as the kollel, could not stop praising the hasmodah and remarkable way that the yungeleit learn Torah with simcha despite their precarious financial situations. Another powerful speech was given by Adopt-a-Kollel director, Rabbi Yaakov Bernfeld, who especially came to Los Angeles to participate in the event.
